BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Presents Its 2026 Season Alongside The MotoGP Team in Siena
January 14, 2026—Set within the historic surroundings of the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 was officially presented today in Siena alongside the MotoGP team, marking the launch of its 2026 campaign in a setting that symbolises tradition, ambition and continuity.
The 2026 season represents the second year of competition for the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 project in the Moto2 World Championship, following its debut season in 2025. After a first year dedicated to learning, building structure and gaining experience in one of the most competitive categories in world championship racing, the team now enters the new season with clear ambitions and the determination to establish itself as a consistent contender at every circuit.
Continuity and experience form the backbone of the project. Team Director Gino Borsoi and Team Manager Alex De Angelis once again lead the Moto2 operation, ensuring alignment with the wider Pramac–Yamaha racing structure and a strong focus on development, performance and rider growth.
On track, Izan Guevara remains a key reference for the team. With his experience and race-winning pedigree, the Spanish rider will play a central role in guiding the project forward. Alongside him, the team welcomes Alberto Ferrández, who joins the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 line-up for the 2026 season, bringing fresh motivation and talent to an already ambitious project.
Both riders will compete aboard Boscoscuro machinery, continuing the technical collaboration with the Italian manufacturer. The partnership between Pramac Racing, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Boscoscuro remains focused on developing competitive packages while supporting riders on their path toward the premier class.
At the heart of the project remains Yamaha’s BLU CRU programme, title sponsor of the team and a cornerstone of Yamaha’s global racing philosophy. Designed to identify, support and develop young talent, BLU CRU represents the foundation of the Yamaha racing pyramid, with MotoGP as its ultimate goal. Within this framework, the Moto2 team plays a crucial role in preparing riders for the highest level of competition.
As the 2026 season approaches, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 looks ahead with confidence, clear objectives and a shared commitment to growth — ready to build on its foundations and take the next step forward in the Moto2 World Championship.
Paolo Campinoti
Team Principal, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
“The second season of the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 project represents an important step forward for us. After a first year dedicated to learning and building experience in a very competitive category, we now approach the new season with greater awareness and clear ambitions.
“Izan Guevara showed strong potential last year and proved that he has the speed and mentality to grow within this project. We expect him to continue on that path and take another step forward. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Alberto Ferrández, who joins the team with great motivation and represents an important part of our development strategy in Moto2.
“Together with Yamaha, Boscoscuro and our technical staff, our objective remains to support both riders in their growth and prepare them for the highest level of competition, fully in line with the philosophy of the BLU CRU programme.
Paolo Pavesio
Managing Director, Yamaha Motor Racing
“The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 project represents a fundamental pillar of Yamaha’s long-term racing strategy. Moto2 is not only a highly competitive championship, but a key development environment where riders learn how to grow within a professional structure and prepare themselves for the next level.
“After a first season focused on building foundations, 2026 marks an important step forward for this project. Continuity within the team and a clear development mindset allow us to strengthen the link between BLU CRU and MotoGP, ensuring coherence across our entire racing pyramid.
“Together with Pramac Racing, and with the guidance of Alex De Angelis and the entire team staff, our objective is to continue building a structured, sustainable environment where young riders can develop not only speed, but also the mindset and professionalism required at the highest level of our sport.”
Gino Borsoi
Team Director, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
“The second year of our Moto2 project with Yamaha is a very important one for the team. After the experience gained during our debut season, we now have a better understanding of the bike and a much more synchronised working method across the entire structure. The way last season ended with Izan gives us confidence, and the objective is to restart from that level and build consistency from the very first races.
“Izan showed strong progress and maturity in the final part of last year, and we expect him to continue on that trajectory, with the ambition to fight regularly for top results. At the same time, we are very happy to welcome Alberto Ferrández. He is young, talented and has already proven his potential in the FIM JuniorGP Moto2 class. Everything will be new for him in Moto2, but the team will support him fully to help him adapt quickly.
“There is great focus and determination within the team, and we believe that this combination of continuity, new energy and technical support will allow us to take an important step forward and build a strong future within the Yamaha programe.”
Alex De Angelis
Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
“I’m really excited to start this new season, as we now have a very well-balanced team and a much stronger base compared to last year. The structure has grown, with additional resources reinforcing the project, and the entire team is now working in sync. We know each other well, and this allows us to make the most of everyone’s skills and experience.
“Our rider line-up is young and extremely talented. Izan is a former World Champion who already showed what he is capable of: he won a race with us last season and finished the year with strong momentum. We have high expectations for him and believe he can be a consistent reference this season.
“At the same time, we are very happy to welcome Alberto Ferrández. He is young but already familiar with Moto2 machinery thanks to his experience in the FIM JuniorGP Moto2 class, where he showed great potential. Supporting young riders in their development is something I care deeply about, and we will do everything possible to help him adapt quickly to this new challenge.
“With the level of organisation we have now and the determination within the team, I sincerely believe we have everything it takes to continue the progress shown in the second part of last season and be among the main contenders in the championship.”

“I am thrilled to start my second season with the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha. Looking back at everything we achieved and learned during our first year together, I feel we have built a very solid foundation. “Today’s presentation is not just a start, but a continuation of our mission to reach the top.
Having a year of experience with this bike and with the crew gives me a lot of confidence. We already know what it feels like to win together, and that experience is vital. This winter, we’ve focused on refining the small details to keep improving our performance.
“I want to thank the entire Yamaha and Pramac family for their continued belief in me. I’ve worked harder than ever this winter to be ready for the challenge. I can’t wait to start racing this new season!”

From the very beginning, I have felt a strong level of trust from them, and they have made me feel like a key part of the project, which is essential to perform at the highest level.
“The team has extensive experience in the World Championship, and my goal is to learn as much as possible from them, work as hard as I can every day, and contribute everything I have so that together we can fight to move closer to the top of the category.
“Finally, I would like to express my great respect and gratitude to everyone who has supported me and decided to give me this incredible opportunity. I will not waste it. I will give my maximum at all times, and I can only say thank you to everyone for the trust and support.”
