Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the six riders chosen to attend the final Yamaha VR46 Master Camp of 2017, run in cooperation with Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Riders Academy and set to take place from July 24th – 28th.
The young riders for this fourth edition of the Master Camp training and development programme are all currently racing YZF-R3s in the new FIM Supersport 300 World Championship with assistance from Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YMENV) under Yamaha’s bLU cRU rider support programme.
Like previous Master Camp participants, the youngsters will go undergo a week of physical and mental training and tutelage in Italy under the VR46 Riders Academy’s staff and affiliated Moto3 and Moto2 riders, including riding on the dirt at Rossi’s Motor Ranch and on the track at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
Yamaha established its own infrastructure for young prospects to step up through the ranks of racing, and has been working to discover and nurture talented riders who can flourish on the world stage of motorcycle racing. The Yamaha VR46 Master Camp project was created in 2016 as part of these efforts, with the purpose to train and develop Yamaha talent.
