Yamaha Motor: Providing Support for COVID-19 Medical Front Lines
Yamaha Motor would like to express its deepest sympathies to all of those who have lost loved ones as a result of the global COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic. We would also like to show our support for those currently battling with the virus, and hope that all patients recover as soon as possible.
IWATA, May 1, 2020—Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) has, in order to assist with the battle against the global COVID-19 pandemic, determined to manufacture face shields and sterilizing detergent (aqueous hypochlorous acid) utilizing our production technology and resources.
As the first step, supply of face shields to local medical institutions via the Iwata City Medical Association will begin around mid-May.

- Provision of resin face shields. Planned quantity: at least 1,000 sets
- Provision of sterilizing detergent (aqueous hypochlorous acid).
Manufacturing capacity: 500L/day
